Riverwood isn't a place... it's a people. We're not a building as much as we are a connected, living body. We're not a denomination or religion or organization as much as a family.
Our family has about 1000 people in it and is growing steadily. Those who have connected here are a diverse bunch. We're a family made up of truck drivers and students, mothers and technicians, business owners and unemployed people, retail clerks and disadvantaged people from our community... but we are all united by a few powerful dynamics. We long for more of God and we love people. Together we want to grow and learn and experience more of God's life-transforming power in our own lives. So we worship together, we pray together, we laugh and cry together. We serve, learn and play, and are discovering new ways of journeying through life together.
We're not primarily a seeker church... nor are we primarily a believer church. We're a 'people-being-changed-by-the-life-transforming-power-of-God' church. A people journeying through life together... learning to live in authentic community and pressing on to know more of God and make Him known.
