"This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”
2 Chronicles 20:15-17
The third week of our series, Wild, explores God as a victorious warrior. While often we want to take control of the battles we face, we need to accept that not all battles are ours to fight and possibly God wants His battle back. How do we do this though? From the life of Jehoshaphat, we're going to find five choices that we can make to trust God to fight our battles.
You might feel temporarily knocked down but it’s not a knock-out…if you’re still breathing God is still fighting and he wants his battle back.
If the battles we face aren't for us to fight, what obstacle get in the way of giving God His battle back?
Look at Ephesians 6:13-17 again. What does it look like to dress for battle? Practically what does it look like in our lives today?
Brittany mentioned five choices to make to begin to trust God to fight our battles (Choose to pray, face it with other people, wait for God's direction, dress for battle, and worship). What is the hardest for you to choose and why?
