Riverwood currently has 17 people who have set aside other career options and opportunities to go serve God and people as their job. Our support of these missionaries will be more than $60,000! This number has doubled in the last couple of years and our general fund is no longer able to meet this need. Additionally, we have two other mission related opportunities: We’ve been asked to send a team to Churchill to run a town-wide children’s VBS this summer. Also, the solar-power-system that serves our missionaries in the Philippines has been hit by one too many earthquakes and typhoons and is no longer working. The VBS will cost $3,000 and a new solar-power system an additional $7,000.
